Give Power Project

The Priscilla Hall Memorial Foundation and the Rotary Club of Glen Innes are proud to present “Give Power”. Buy a Mandarin 2 Solar Light to light up your nights and on your behalf we will donate the same to an Indonesian family who lives without power.

The gift that keeps on giving

Did you know over 1.2 billion people in the world don’t have access to electricity? Instead, to light their homes they burn kerosene. Inhaling this toxic fuel is the equivalent to smoking two packets of cigarettes a day. It’s also highly flammable, often causing fires. Our mission at illumination is to provide these people with safe, clean, free, solar powered light to improve their health, wealth and education. And you can help. All you have to do to Give Power is buy one of our solar products and we’ll do the rest.

How does Give Power work?

It’s brilliantly simple. For every solar product you buy, we give a Mandarin 2 Solar Light to a family in Indonesia who doesn’t have electricity. So you can enjoy the benefits of putting solar in your pocket and the satisfaction of making an enormous improvement to someone else’s life. The lights will be distributed by Priscilla Hall Memorial Foundation and friends.

There’s plenty to feel good about because the light that you provide will:

  • Save the recipient family around $70 per year (that’s a lot when you earn $1 per day)
  • Increase their children’s study time by up to 70%
  • Dramatically reduce the likelihood of house fires and respiratory problems.

We know this because we have undertaken three separate studies looking into the benefits of replacing kerosene lamps with our solar lights.
