This major building project was first discussed in July 2013 . Late 2013 a major building collapsed and the project had to be re assessed. On 4Th  October 2014 a celebration was held at Parapattan to mark the successful completion of the building works.. Parapattan Orphanage is a Christian orphanage that provides a home and support for about fifty children who receive care, guidance and optional vocational training on top of their education. The kitchen, dining and food storage areas in the orphanage leaked very badly every time it rained, ruining food stores and soaking the children at meal times. ANZA Social Welfare teamed up with the New Zealand Embassy, Priscilla Hall Memorial Foundation and Holcim to re-roof and renovate these areas.
