Based on the success of the VTC’s first term during last May until August 2012, Priscilla Hall Memorial Foundation (PHMF) has committed to support the YUM Vocational Training Centre (VTC) for a longer period. This great commitment has really helped YUM with its VTC project to provide opportunities for disadvantaged youths around Cipanas YUM Village; enabling the youth to enhance their soft skills and help them find a job, which in turn has a direct effect on decreasing the unemployment rate in the area. Starting on September 10th2012, VTC’s Second Term finally started and welcomed around 316 students in 5 types of classes including English Classes, Computer Classes, Sewing Classes, Job Seeking Classes and Hospitality Class. This second term has been supporting 20 classes with an average of 10 to 20 students per class. Learning from the implementation of VTC’s first term, in the second term, we had a chance to perfect the previous system in order to create more of an impact with better results.
