Whilst YMCKK have not been able to visit the children in the wards due to the pandemic we are still able to cover the kids with love by giving them (via nursing staff) the warm and colourful wraps, beanies and teddies kindly donated by PHMF (see attached photos). We are able to meet the parents in the parking lot in front of the cancer hospital, providing support and giving the parents a monthly supply of multivitamins to help keep their immune system strong during this latest outbreak. Doctors and nursing staff are desperate to keep the virus out of the ward and infecting the children which often has fatal results.
The PICU/HCU facility for the children’s ward at Dharmais Cancer hospital which PHMF generously supported by donating a HILL-ROM hospital bed is running smoothly but we still require two more pieces of equipment for the last stage of the HCU.
